Climate Emergency

Most people agree that we have a climate emergency and need to do something about it. The nature of our Parish means that we have a some key areas where we can make a contribution locally and nationally. Some of these may need to challenge the way in which we do things which are engrained in our lefestyle and traditions.

The main project within Cornwall Council's Climate Change Action plan is Forest For Cornwall which is a 10 year programme to increase Woodland cover in Cornwall. Cornwall has a lower percent coverage than the UK average and the UK is significantly lower than the European average.
